Regedit Aka Windows Registry Editor

Regedit

Chances are when you are reading this hub coming from a search, you either need more knowledge about the windows registry editor, or you need some info on the regedit command. I tell you when i used these words or windows registry cleaner in google, then i usually messed something up in the registry database of my windows PC. I am the guy who know a little bit of everything, but isn't an expert in something, not technical anyway. One lesson i learned was to only edit the registry on data i understood and were not critical to my computers performance. This is just not MS Dos anymore and there is no way i can grasp the whole registry wisdom anyway. My machine needs to operate, and my surfing experience has to be fast and smooth. I do have some games, and all you ego shooters out there know how important a quick PC is. So, you have a messed up registry and need some help with that? That is a good move, since many people are trying to fix what they messed up and of course make it total mess.In case you screwed up your original settings, you can always try a system restore, back to your previous settings. System restore back has saved me dozens of times. Remmember, it is usually risky to tweak your windows machine just for slight better execution times. The risk reward ratio is just not good, as long as you are not a computer expert. It is better to increase size of RAM and eventually purchasing a better graphic card. The best investment is certainly the CPU, and the Intel Core i7 is the top one.

Can You Fix Registry Errors Manually?

To answer that is easy. No you cannot. The windows registry is even for windows power users and very advanced experts a no go. Maybe something simple they do manually adjust, but again most just don't even bother to adjust anything inside the registry editor because it is just way to complex. And adjusting settings is one thing, what if you have rather correct settings but they happen to not be compatible with any sort of hardware you have on your PC. As a good example, smart gamers with massive performance computers leave the registry untouched if possible. Neither they use the reg edit command prompt. Let the software take care of that.

Now the guy in the video below makes it sound too easy to be able to tweak everything. But as i said before, if you do not exactly know what key means what function, don't touch it.

Final Thoughts

Right on you made it. If you have your 'life date' stored on your PC, then you need it to be save. We all expect things to go smooth at all times, it just does not play like that. Nevertheless you don't want to have data loss after a virus or crash. I was in total panic the first time i had a massive windows crash including data loss. All my log ins, all my data and e-books worth over a $1200 was gone. Be smart and invest in some good secure software that can fix registry errors and make sure the windows firewall is updated frequently. I am off to sync my external hard drive, see ya.
